How I Work with You

Get to know you and what’s important to you

Of course, there’s no point in moving forward with a plan if it doesn’t account for the things that matter most to you. I will always plan with your priorities in mind.

Listen to understand your situation

I truly believe that the key to solving any problem begins with real listening. After all, every situation is unique, and so each deserves its own personalized strategy. That’s why I will take the time to consider your concerns, doubts, hopes, and expectations rather than diving into a plan that may not suit your needs.

Guide you toward the future you want

Once you feel comfortably familiar with your options, we can work together to build an estate plan that’s right for you. And if you have questions along the way, think of me as your guide and ally.

“I chose to be a lawyer after going through the process of helping my own parents navigate some tough decisions. Now, I work to make that process easier for you.”

For years, I considered going to law school. After all, I’ve always enjoyed learning, strategizing, and guiding others. But it wasn’t until I had to help my own parents create an estate plan that I decided it was time to pursue my career in law. Since then, I have made it my mission to simplify such difficulties for others.

Now, I work with clients on two levels: pre-planning and crisis planning. In other words, when you come to me, ready to get proactive about your future, I strive to help you put the necessary precautions in place to protect your assets and secure other long-term factors. And if you come to me mid-crisis, I will offer what help I can to recover your assets, defend your rights, and protect your legacy.

Serving my clients and my community

Both in my work and as an Indiana native

South Madison Community Foundation

Indiana is my home, and I’ve always loved it here. I love the beautiful natural scenery, the hardworking people, and the strong sense of community. Maybe that’s why I’ve always been drawn to local nonprofit work. I like to think that the more I can contribute to my community, the greater the ripple effect will be on the communities surrounding it.

Currently, I’m working to create that ripple effect by serving on the board of directors for the South Madison Community Foundation — an organization committed to improving the lives of local citizens in any way we can. As a member of the board, I help to ensure that our donors’ contributions are put to use in effective, lasting ways.

I’ve always felt an innate need to help craft a better future for myself and for others. That, I believe, is what drew me into the fields of elder law and estate planning, and what continues to draw me to such amazing local causes.

Pendleton Business Association

In addition to ensuring that the members of Madison County are well looked after, I also strive to do my part for local business owners. With my fellow members of the Pendleton Business Association, I work to help small businesses get started, advise business owners on best practices, and propose ideas to improve the overall business climate in and around my community. It is my hope that by contributing to the betterment of my own community, the entire state of Indiana can reap the benefits.
